forever a ranger
Well it turned out the Leetch Banner ceremony wasn't my surprise wedding to #2 Brian Leetch, in fact he's already married! But it was beautiful nonetheless. Plus a win. Now let's recharge over the break and just tally the points here on in.

"That's my Bitch!"
At least that's what I thought Avery said to his new linemate after Jagr scored the 4th and final goal in last night's game. Good, I hope Jagr bitches it up the rest of the season. This was one of the most fun evenings I've spent at the Garden rooting on my team. The crowd was exuberant and mostly respectful and hysterical. It was pure joy as tomorrow night should be. I'm hoping for a repeat performance. Plus some crying too. We'll be joining Messier in shedding a tear for the fine career of Brian Leetch.

Piling on!
Straka's out, Henrik's (rightfully) preoccupied, Shanny's questionable. In good news it looks like Dawes may finally be paired with Gomez tomorrow night. With Dawes' speed I really think he'll match up wonderfully with #19, as long as both of them don't defer to Jagr all night. Also worrisome is Tampa Bay having dropped their last 7. Not liking the odds at handing them their 8th, but I know we can do it.

Happy New Year!
This is more like it! Go Prucha!
The year hasn't been great so far for the Blueshirts, but I'm reserving judgment until they're back opposing the Eastern conference. What's with rolling over for all the western conference teams? I don't like it. Perhaps tonight is the night, you're going down Edmonton! I read the Yahoo! sports pregames notes for every game and today's was one of the few where our top scorers stats were higher than the oppositions. Liking those odds.
Ps. I officially enjoy Scottie (not Snottie) Gomez.
